Dada Nani

Preserving Living Heritage

Much of India’s cultural knowledge lives in memory, conversation and everyday practice. Dada Nani creates opportunities for these stories to be shared, documented and carried forward by younger generations. The programme nurtures listening, curiosity and cultural reflection while building deeper connections between children, families and communities.

Initiatives

Dada Nani Festival

The Dada Nani Festival is an annual nationwide initiative that invites students to connect with elders and document stories, memories, traditions and everyday practices from their families and communities.

Culture Books

Students create books that document local stories, traditions, memories and cultural practices. These books are records of lived heritage, created through observation, conversation and reflection.

Nani Tales

Nani Tales is a close-knit storytelling experience that brings elders and children together through shared stories and conversation. These gatherings create warm spaces for memories, anecdotes and life experiences.
